Don't overthink stuff.

I've been driving my 1950 3100 non-rebuilt 216 on the freeway at 50-55mph after a long dormancy. I've put over 3000 miles on it in the last year - 2000 just in the last 6 months.

You'll be able to tell what the truck is comfortable doing while you're driving it.
