On my ‘55.2 putting master cylinder on firewall, removal of factory instrument panel brace was required. Found this pedal brace kit from CPP that allows proper mounting of master on firewall plus proper panel brace. Can be taken apart and reconfigured to move brake pedal around, which I was able to do since I wanted to mount brake pedal on left side on steering column, right side too narrow with 6bt.
