This might be a little long but I'll try to keep it short. In 1980 when I got out of the Navy in SoCal I bought my 53 3100 for a work truck (carpenter). My 292, billet crank, billet solid roller cam, billet steel rods all by Crower. Mains dowelled and girdled. Ryan Falconer V-12 head. 5 stage dry sump. Electromotive TECs 200 direct fire coil over EMS. Weiand 6-71 with 2 Quick Fuel 650 DP. NOS. McLeod duel disk clutch, billet flywheel and McLeod hydraulic throw out bearing. Custom built Tremec TKO 600. Custom built Frankland Quick Change rear end, Bicknell torque arm, Gleason Torsen diff. Wilwood 12.88" ultra light disk 6 piston front 4 piston rear, line lock, vacuum pump. Super Bell custom front 4" drop straight axle made to fly, . Mechanical water pump, aluminum front radiator with electric fan and a secondary hortazontal mount Ron Davis drag radiator between the rails with electric pump primarily for heat sink after shutdown. 1.5 steering quickener. Electric P/S by EPAS Performance and electric A/C with remote condenser and fan by RenCool. Armored front glass and acoustic glass around. Mechman 250 amp alt. (180 at idle). I'm building it for 1300 HP but it will never see over a thousand, allegedly. As Mike Kirby once told me "the magic is in the head the rest is just trying to keep the crankshaft in the building". Thank you for your time. P.S. that's real patina I'm sanding off to make it pretty.

Old enough to know better, too young to resist.
