Those of us who have had Pertronix failures won’t recommend them to anyone. Those who have had good luck with Pertronix swear by them. All I can say is if you do convert to Pertronix carry in your glovebox a set of points, condenser and rotor along with the hardware and tools to install them. It’s called being prepared.
