I am not sure what the difference is but I have the basic Walmart battery in my 54. It is a 12v conversion and it can sit for 1-2 months in the winter and holds the charge. My 47 is still 6v and it has a noticeable discharge and loss of power after just 1-2 weeks. I put a tender on the 47. I don't do anything with the 54.
