I have all of my vehicles on tenders at all times. I have a quick disconnect with male and female bullet connectors permanently attached to the battery posts.

With the Deltran Battery Tender, they include both alligator clamps and ring connector cables so you can use whichever method makes the most sense for you.

Battery stays connected to the vehicle at all times.
