A fuel injection system doesn't know (or care) what vehicle it's installed on- - - -sort of like me using Ford 223 six pistons in a "235" engine rebuild that ends up with a 270 cubic inch engine. Whether or not it's an advantage over a properly built carburetor is still up for discussion.
