Hello Markinwv and welcome.As for your '67 C-40 292,I would put a set of green Toke seals on the valve stems and run it that way.Those engines are tough as nails!This can be done without even pulling the head by pumping air into the cylinders to keep the valves closed.If at a later date you have the funds,you can pull the engine and do a complete overhaul.
