I was adjusting the valves on my 1954 235 6 cylinder. One of the adjustment screws was seized to the Locking nut so I bought a new one. The new one has a ball bearing on the end of the screw that I can compress. The other 11 do not.
The engine has solid lifters. Could the one that I bought before hydraulic lifters?
Can I use the new one if I adjust the valve so that there is no lash?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
