We repaired our tailgate. Drilled out the spot welds to remove the end pieces. Banged out the dents using a piece of pipe and body hammer. Plug welded the end pieces back in. Whew! On reflection, it would have been a lot easier to go the Mar-K route. Shipping cost would have been horrendous - probably more than the cost of the gate itself.
