The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop 1950 GMC 216 Cracked head - options?

All 216, and 235 from 1941-52 (including the "Powerglide" engine) have the same 15 bolt pattern. Only the 1953-63 235 (and 261) have the later 18 bolt pattern.
The 216 and early 235 valves are the same size (except Powerglide). The stem OD is .341".
There may be other compatibility differences.
