At the start of my project I needed a fuel pump, the original gas tank was not usable due to varnish and holes, new tank, new fuel lines, kit for the carb, ready for a pump. With mine being a V8 283 I knew I would have a world of options but for now I just needed something that would get it running. Bought the lowest priced simple pump from one of the national retail chain auto parts, that pump is still working, no leaks, starts and runs as it should with 5-6 years of use and regular pump gas with ethanol. I would like to rebuild the original AC pump but have not had a need so far.
