You didn't indicate how much "too long" the #15455 belt is.
In peeking at the same source site your pictures refer to, these 3 belts all have the same Top width (.44) and Angle (36). Other available lengths are as noted next to these part numbers:
#15425 - 42.5 in effective length
#15435 - 43.5 in effective length
#15445 - 44.5 in effective length
The effective length listed for #15455 is "45.5" inches (you said too long) and #15415 is shown as "41.5" inches (you think too short).
In between those extremes is #15435 at "43.5" inches - maybe just right???
