Installed the new 12 V alternator on the 235 then replaced the Dayco #15455 fan belt that came on the motor when I acquired it. The width is narrow and fits well, but it’s a bit too long and there’s no more room on the bracket to adjust out the alternator. I went to the Dayco website and plugged in the data for my 1954 235 to find the correct belt and the result was a #15415. The details show that it’s 4” smaller, which I’m sure will be too small. Can anyone give me the part # of a belt that would corrrectly fit my setup? I’m not particular about a brand. Thanks
