I just bought a 1954 1 ton 3942 Grumman step van and the 6 cylinder motor is stamped at distributor pad : "53 S 12 9P". It appears to be a 235. I have not seen a number like that. Does it ring a bell for anyone? It's so grimey I haven't been able to get to any casting numbers yet. Thanks.
