Scott, glad you are making progress. Don't know if you noticed but there is a guy on Ebay under the word "cabover" that is ostensibly selling a carb for $5. When you look he is really just advertising to sell other vehicles. In the background of his pisctures are several cabovers in your time frame. His phone number is in the ad.
