Correct: The parking brake bracket bolts to the floor and the driver's side inner fender bolts to the bracket. I was misunderstanding the question when I suggested the filler strips.

Here's a pic from below. You can see one bolt on the inner fender, and what's left of the cab floor. It's heavier than the cab floor, so didn't melt completely away. wink
