The only way I can think of to know if your PTO will fit your trans is to drain the trans, pull the PTO cover off, hold the PTO up and see if the Drive Gear and Driven Gear meshes. If you install a couple long studs you can be sure you have everything lined up as you check the fit. The gear backlash is adjusted by adding gaskets.
Note, the 6-bolt mounting pattern is an SAE standard used by everybody, so you can't go by that to say it fits or not, it's all about the gears...
