A girlfriend of mine had an early Honda Civic, maybe 1973. When almost new, we drove it up the freeway a hundred miles or so and back. As I recall it got nearly 50 MPG. It may have predated the CVCC head, I don't recall. I do remember thinking "What magic do they know?" BTW it was also fun to drive.
