on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! I haven't rigged up a hose to the air cleaner yet. I didn't get the truck air cleaner from the wrecking yard when I got the motor. I'm sort of reluctant to cut into an original oil bath air cleaner.
I've worked on many engines that ran a vacuum in the crankcase. They would stall if you opened the system, Saabs and BMWs of the 70s for example. They'd come into the shop with a bad idle and it often turned out to be the o-ring on the dipstick tube. 1951 3800 1-ton"Earning its keep from the get-go"In the DITY Gallery1962 261 (w/cam, Fenton headers, 2 carbs, MSD ign.), SM420 & Brown-Lipe 6231A 3spd aux. trans, stock axles & brakes.
