My '52 GMC had this type filter (wash in gasoline and re-oil every 1000 miles). I replaced it with a FRAM CA-140 paper element. I had to make the hold down bolt about 1/2" longer.

'52 GMC 152 Stake Bed, Original 228, SM420, added A/C, HEI, disk front brakes, '67 Chev 3.55 rear gear. Gets used as a real truck.
