I'm switching to rear of trans brake on my 49 4400 myself. Someone changed the rear, and cut off the cables. Most cables are rusted beyond use in junkyard or old parts trucks. You can get the ones for small trucks, but I here they are pretty cheapy, no good. Thinking maybe you can add on to them at one end with something to be long enough? Might have to move the frame caseing holders too to adapt. Just a thought?
