Thanks for the input everyone, I double checked the stamping and casting numbers. They appear as stated previously I'll take pictures and post soon. I was told by the previous owner that this was a very early 47.
Al 1947 GMC model FC102 original drivetrain 216 eng sm420 4 speed.
