Fix the choke cable- - -it's necessary to choke the engine on a cold start. Unless you're getting the coolant warmed up to normal running temp after every cold start, the spark plugs will get sooty- - - -especially if you keep pouring gas down the carburetor throat. You're also one backfire away from a really bad fire if you keep pouring gas into the intake- - - -do you have a good extinguisher handy?
