Well, folks, after seeing all the responses and doing some serious head scratching, I have come to the conclusion that an under-bed spare tire carrier is not that essential to the renovation of this truck at this time. Maybe at some point in the future, if I can find one or get the time to fabricate a home-made one, fine. But at this point, it is not a deal breaker.
