So I am working on getting my 49 set to start up and break in my newly rebuilt engine. I know that my gas tank is not in pristine shape. So my question is this can you have too many fuel filter in between the engine and the carb? So here is what I am thinking of running. Right after the down tube from my tank I am planning on running a G2 fram Gas filter (Clear Plastic so I can see the major Crud) and then on my Fuel pump I have a filter. I also have glass bowl filter ( but have never used it) that would go right in front of the carburetor. Am I being too crazy about keeping the junk, that I know is in my tank, out of the fuel pump and Carburetor?
