| | | | Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 4,480 Moderator, Electrical Bay | | Moderator, Electrical Bay Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 4,480 | Both are good and RTV by itself will be just fine if you apply it correctly and follow the instructions for "no gasket" installation. 40 years ago I couldn't find a gasket for the torque tube type rear end, used black RTV and it did just fine.
