That truck originally had a 6 cylinder engine, and instead of buying the correct brackets for the "bird leg" V8 mounts that either bolt or rivet onto the front crossmember, somebody cobbled up some home made brackets. They also swapped bellhousings for one that will bolt to a V8 engine and altered the throttle linkage.
