Just a quick update- - - - -the engine we scavanged from the rust bucket is headed for a new home. I just finished a phone call with a young man (23) in Oklahoma who has a 1951 big bolt that still works for a living- - - -his grandfather bough it in 1955 and they still haul grain every year with it. The original 235 developed a rod knock, and I'm about to begin a full overhaul on the engine from the junkyard dawg with a few improvements like replaceable rod bearings and a full circle rear oil seal so the old rig can keep doing what if does best. I had him in mind when we pulled that engine, as I thought it would be a bolt-in swap. By later this year, or maybe next spring, I'll be making a road trip to Oklahoma with a "new" 235 spray-oiler!
