I worked with a guy that was in the military in Germany. He had a widow maker on a large military truck that blew apart while driving on the highway! I've reused tubes and flaps in my 3 piece split rims (the ones you can see the lock ring on the out side of the wheel) and they have worked fine for years. But I would agree the true widow maker wheels should not be used!
