Going back to the original post, I have a friend whose family has lived in that area forever. I sent his dad that picture and he said they were bought new when they were building the Oroville dam to haul workers to and from town. They got auctioned off when that project was done and have been sitting pretty much ever since.

Apparently the guy had been trying to sell the pair for $9000 for a lot of years. Not sure if they are still for sale, but if so that might be a pretty solid price these days.


I know they have been sitting there for a extremely long time. My sister lives up in Dobbins and I want to say they were there in the early 80s when I visited her then. I know they were there 15 years ago when I was helping my sister on her property that year. And I’m sure I’ve seen him for sale several times over the years….joe
