There were Dealer installed, Air Brake Conversion Kits,(air assist, for exsisting hydraulic brake system) available from, Bendix-Westinghouse, Wagner, & Midland. Full Air Brakes, & Air, Over Hydraulic Brakes, were not available, from the Factory, on Chevrolet Trucks until 1956.
