It may be easier/quicker to identify the engine by the head casting number and then get greasy to view the distributor "boss". I'm sure you know the 302 is the #1 choice but if you have are to choose a 270, try to get one with the famous "H" head; casting number is 2193417. The 302 head casting number is 2193983.
