I just pushed "Buy" on E-buy for a 62 261. The photos check out with heavy truck features and the block casting number checks out and it has captan's bars. It's painted yellow. The head however shows a casting number of 848. I did not know that head was used on 261s. If it's the higher compression 235 head so much the better but if it's not a factory installation I'm tempted to pull the head and check for the extra cooling holes between the siamesed cylinders. If that was a factory installation I'll leave it alone at least for the 90-day warranty period.

Anybody know if the 848 head was factory installed on 261s?
