He'll think it's awesome for sure! If you want to, compound that paint up (or let him use his elbow grease,) I used megauirs ultimate compound, polish, and NXT paint sealer on a pretty similar level of oxidation on my truck and it shined up like you wouldn't believe (mine does have less rust, but the paint should be the same.) My dad gave me mine when I was 19 last year, not for any special occasion but I was looking for an old vehicle to work on and drive all over and whatever and he just said here you go haha. It's a 1961 c40 with the 261, great grandpa got it used in the late 60s.
