I was looking at my 42-46 GMC panel truck today and I am now confused. I don't have a title or data plate for it so I do not know year of manufacturing. I know it is not a 41, I have several of those so I know the differance. The stamped number on the passenger side frame rail is CC 101 22242. I first thought it meant my panel was built on 2-22-42 but after some searching I found civilian production ended on 9 Feb 42. Is this just the 22242nd panel off the line? Any clue as to what year I am dealing with? Just thought about something, I am going to see if I can read the numbers on my 41 GMC pickup. Any help here? Dave
Just found another resource, seems my panel was made some time in 1945. Wish I knew more about it.
