My 53 with 235 was tuned and would start immediately upon pushing floor starter for years. Now I changed the plugs, points and condenser and it still runs and idles smooth, with power. But since the tune up to start it after you drive it a while (go into a store for instance) I have to depress gas pedal to floor and hold it while it cranks. Never did this before New plugs/points. Rebuilt the Rochester carb and still needs pedal hold. Is it starving for fuel or flooded or did I need to adjust the timing with tuneup? Kinda lost on what to do.
