I am putting a front disc brake conversion on my 1950 chev 3100. I am using the original hub. On putting in new studs and of course the very last one it dropped right in and fell back out. The spliced threads in the hub are rounded out. Is the hub made out of cast steel? If so I could tack weld the stud front the front of the hub.
I hope I can do something without resorting to a new hub. Any ideas?
