This tread is a little old, but.... I just did this on my truck this weekend. The hardest part of the job, by far, was removing the nine (or ten? I think it was nine) bolts securing the front panel to the cross sill. No room to work and the nuts and bolts have had 70 years to rust together. There was JUST enough room to pull the panel out. You'll scratch paint (panel, cab, and bedsides) if you're not careful. I had two helpers pulling out on the bedsides.
