One last blow to the dead horse,,,,,has either of the battery cable ends been replaced with the type clamp that uses a bolt to clamp the battery cable to the end? If yes then disassemble and clean all the corrosion and reassemble. Or if the cable is long enough, just cut back to clean cable and reassemble.
