One addition to that excellent description- - - - -install a spin-on filter adapter down on a frame rail near the fuel tank, and run a Diesel fuel or hydraulic fluid filter between the tank and the fuel pump. It will last for years before it becomes clogged sufficiently to need replacing, and the filter media is much finer than anything designed to strain the foreign matter out of gasoline.
