Thanks for the information. That's what I was thinking but the first two of last five characters sure look like "I" not "1" but I guess they used different looking letters/numbers 56 years ago. Now I just have to get under it to get the numbers from the transmission and rear axle. Then fix the radiator, tune it up, repair the brakes, get a new clutch ...
This detective work sure is fun!
