Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 4,479 Moderator, Electrical Bay | | Moderator, Electrical Bay Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 4,479 | The Carter YF 4145S (designed for the Chevy 230) is pretty similar to the 2100 and also has manual choke. No manual throttle was designed for this model unless you happen to find one used on an irrigation pump or if you're handy and can make one yourself. Two other differences: that carburetor is designed for a center stud air cleaner and you need to make a little extension so that the throttle works right for the 235 (the 230 accelerator rod comes up on the opposite side of the manifold). But it works well. The one I ran on my 235 seemed to run slightly richer, but I only tested it at idle and low speeds, so I could have been wrong. You will not pay an arm and leg for the 4145, either. I posted about this a few months ago. You might watch for one of those.
