Jim .... its like my fishing ... which isn't so much about catching dinner as it is about spending soul-renewing time on the water. I don't so much "fish" ... I go for long, slow boat rides. smile If I really want fish for dinner, I go to my best fishing hole -- Food Lion. BTW, the first pic was taken by Mike Roache. We didn't catch anything that day but we had a helluva great day. And not one single beer! In the second picture, Colton Point (lower Potomac River) is off my left shoulder and St. Clements Island, where Maryland was founded in 1634, is off my right shoulder. First picture ... we were trolling off St Clement's Island. My back is to the East (downriver) and it is wide like that. We were about 19 miles upriver from the mouth of the Potomac. Its a big, wide river.

Salt water (even if brackish) is better than beer.

Speaking of ... Mike, you want to hit it one more time before the season ends and I have to winterize the boat? I hear striper are active in this part of the river currently...
