I have a '66 C-60,also with a 292/4 speed, single speed rear. Mine shows a 19,000 pound GVW too.I found out a power steering set up from a C-60 up to the mid 70's will work on a '66 but requires a bracket to be made,to mount the axle-end of the ram to the axle, and the linkage from the spindle to the steering box will need to be shortened an inch or so,to allow the steering box to center.
I had to replace my steering box,the bearings came out in about 90 pieces, many were half-ballbearings-no wonder the steering kept locking up.
Also, get an electronic ignition from a newer 292 and swap it in.you'll be amazed how much better it'll run,and it'll make the plugs last longer too. On the down side, don't plan on going anywhere fast in it. I don't know what redline is on a 292,but at 3,000 rpm, mine goes about 45 mph. BTW-there are 2 water pumps available for the 292;one will work with the dual belt pulleys, the other won't.Different shaft lengths.
I found out "MAD Electrical.com" has a LOT of info on making your electrics work right.
Have fun!
