| | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 | Ron, Your fix should last from now on but here is what I do on inline engines with a three point mount ( the front mount may have two bolts but it is still a one point mount). I weld ears onto the heavy plate behind the timing cover and then use flat head Ford mount cushions. This changes the set up from an easy to tip triangle to a stable rectangle. Has to be done during the building stage so not practical on a completed project. You can see the spread ears and mount cushion beneath alternator.
