The problem with the design of the pedal is that a metal tongue from the floorboard sticks into a slot composed entirely of rubber. This is at the "heel" of the pedal. I bought an original pedal but the rubber was hard and brittle and the rubber fractured and essentially disintegrated. I think you will have difficulty in finding a usable original. A reproduction from another vendor seemed acceptable but the metal core was so malleable that it started to bend just from normal use. But at least the rubber was pliable.
