Given it's highly affected by humidity, I'm speculating that results could vary a lot depending on a person's local conditions. We usually have high humidity up here. Like you, I have had mixed results even with the POR15 top coat. My frame has really oxidized and even started peeling in spots. I may sand it and paint it with implement paint from Tractor Supply.
