Jon, good and possibly timely info. A couple months ago my Zenith O-10355 (nos carb you provided a couple years ago) on a cold start ran so rich the 216 would barely run. Like the choke was full on. I drove it from the shop to the house which is a 100 yards, shut it off, ate lunch and before cranking it, used a scewdriver handle to sharply tap the carb several times. Cranked it up and it's been fine for the past few hundred miles.

My plan is to open it up and see what's what if the float sticks again. I'll heed your advise above for sure.
