| Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | GMC engines are usually easy to find, up to 302 cubic engines, I would look some more, carefully. Once one gets organized, they usually appear. Some appear in milk trucks, vans, etc. SN behind the starter stamped on machined surface start with displ@cement, I e 270xxxx. Valve cover always different than Chevy valve cover. It would save a lot of work if you can find a proper GMC engine.
